NAD Therapy

NAD Therapy is an innovative treatment that utilizes nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), a coenzyme essential for cellular function and energy production. Dr. Lollar may recommend NAD Therapy as part of your naturopathic treatment plan to address various health concerns, from fatigue and cognitive decline to addiction recovery.

About NAD Therapy

  • NAD Therapy has been known to boost energy levels, enhance mental clarity, and improve cognitive function, making it particularly beneficial for those experiencing brain fog or age-related cognitive decline. NAD plays a crucial role in DNA repair and cellular regeneration, potentially slowing the aging process and supporting overall longevity. Dr. Lollar customizes NAD treatments to address each patient's unique health goals, whether it's for anti-aging, mental health support, or managing chronic conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome or neurodegenerative disorders.

  • NAD is a coenzyme found in all living cells. It plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism and energy production. As we age, our natural NAD levels decline, which can lead to decreased cellular function and energy production. NAD therapy aims to replenish these levels, potentially enhancing the cell's ability to produce energy, repair DNA, and carry out other vital processes more efficiently.

  • NAD is administered via either subcutaneous injection or intravenous (IV) infusion.

If Dr. Lollar recommends a subcutaneous injection, it will be administered to the thigh or abdomen. The NAD dosage for subcutaneous injections is generally lower compared to IV. It might range from 50 mg to 250 mg of NAD per injection, depending on the protocol.

The NAD dosage for IV administration is typically much higher, ranging from 250 mg to 1,000 mg or more per session, depending on the therapeutic goals. In an IV treatment, you'll be comfortably seated while the NAD solution is administered through an IV drip. Some patients may experience symptoms such as nausea or cramping. Dr. Lollar will monitor your response throughout the treatment and may adjust the infusion rate as needed. An IV session typically lasts 2-4 hours, depending on the prescribed dosage, but can be administered faster if your symptoms are mild.
